As a buyer, there is nothing more disheartening to be enthusiastic about an item I want to buy, and can locate no information about shipping costs to my area. It's about as big a turn off, as no photo attachments of an item. With this in mind, I opted to create a shipping calculator, which provides real-time quotes, based off the 3 largest carriers in the US (Fedex, USPS, and UPS).

This sweet modification gives the buyer the ability to obtain their own shipping quotes, without disturbing the seller about it. This gives them a pretty precise idea on what the total cost is going to be on the purchase. The rates are taken directly from USPS, UPS, and Fedex, via their API system, and there is no fee involved for the quote service, as seen elsewhere. In addition, the rates are returned via Ajax, thus no need for any page refreshing.
